Our agreement with you

This is the agreement you accept when you tick "I accept the terms" and pay. Version: 5 October 2026

1. Who we are

Louis van Niekerk, trading as WebsitePro ("we", "us"). "You" is the client named in the client portal. Contact us at admin@websitepro.co.za or on WhatsApp 077 399 8931.

2. When this starts

This agreement starts when you tick "I accept the terms" on your payment page and pay the setup fee. It runs month to month with no fixed term.

3. What you get

The package agreed in your portal and shown on your payment page: a 3 or 5 page website, a .co.za domain registered in your name with the first year included, email addresses on your domain (2 with the 3 page site, 5 with the 5 page site), and hosting. Bigger sites, catalogue sites and logo design are only done as quoted in writing.

4. Price and payment

The setup fee is once-off and paid before we start. Hosting is paid monthly from month 2, by PayFast recurring payment on the date shown on your payment page. Prices are in rand and are the full amount you pay. We never see or store your card details. Payments appear as LvN Digital on your bank statement.

5. The setup fee is not refundable

When you pay, you ask us to start work straight away. We register your domain and start building at once, so the setup fee is not refundable. Because the service starts with your consent, the 7 day cooling-off period in the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act does not apply.

6. Your content

You send us the text, logo and photos. You confirm that you have the right to use them. They stay yours, and you let us use them on your site. We may show your site in our examples unless you ask us not to.

7. Changes before go-live

Two rounds of changes are included. A round is one list of changes sent at once through portal Messages. Extra rounds and new pages are quoted. If you do not reply to a review for 30 days, we may treat the site as approved and put it live.

8. Changes after go-live

Hosting covers small updates such as text, prices, phone numbers or a photo. Bigger changes are quoted first.

9. Your domain

Your domain is registered in your name, you own it, and you can move it any time. The first year is included. From year 2 you pay the yearly renewal to the registrar yourself. If the renewal is not paid, the domain can lapse and the site and email stop working. We are not responsible for that.

10. Hosting and cancelling

You can cancel any time with the Cancel button on your portal Billing page, or by email. Your site stays up until the end of the month you have paid for. There are no refunds for part months. We give 30 days' notice by email before any hosting price change.

11. Missed payments

If a monthly payment fails on the day, we send you one reminder and you have 2 more days to pay. If it is still unpaid, your website and the email we host are suspended (taken offline) until you pay. If it is still unpaid 60 days after suspension, we may end your hosting and delete your site and email. Your domain stays yours throughout.

12. Who owns the website

The design, layout and code of the site stay WebsitePro's. You may use them while we host your site. If you leave, you keep your domain and your own content (we send your text, logo and photos back on request), but not the site design or files.

13. What we promise

We build and host with reasonable care and keep backups. We cannot promise that the site is never offline, or any search ranking, visitors or sales.

14. Fair use

No illegal, misleading or harmful content on your site or email. We may suspend a site that breaks the law or these terms.

15. Liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

16. If we stop

We can end this agreement with 30 days' notice by email, and we will help you move your domain.

17. Changes to these terms

We email you 30 days before a change. The current version is always on this page.

19. Law and notices

South African law applies. Notices to you go to the email address in your portal. Notices to us go to admin@websitepro.co.za.
