For engineering workshops and trades
Websites for engineering workshops
A clean website for machine shops, welders, fabricators, steel and engineering workshops, electricians and other trades. Get found on Google, show your work and let customers send a drawing for a quote.
What buyers check before they send a job
A buyer with a broken part or a drawing to quote rarely knows a workshop by name. They search on Google, open two or three sites and send the job to the one that looks established. Machine shops, welders and fabricators who show their services and their work get the first message.
A site also does a job for you after the first call. Send the link along with a quote and the buyer can see your machines, your past projects and your workshop hours. It shows you are a real business with real work behind it, and it makes your quote easier to say yes to.
What the engineering example includes
- A Home page that says what you make and who you work for, with a Get a quote on WhatsApp button
- A Services page for machining, welding, fabrication, cutting and repairs
- A Projects page with photos of finished jobs
- An About page with your story, your team and your certificates
- A Contact page with your phone number, workshop address, hours and a WhatsApp link for drawings and photos
What it costs
An engineering site works best as 5 pages: Home, Services, Projects, About and Contact. That is R1500 once-off and includes your own .co.za domain for the first year. A smaller 3 page site is R1000. Hosting is from R80 a month from month 2, with no fixed term.
Questions from workshops and trades
Can customers send me a drawing or a photo?
Yes. The Get a quote on WhatsApp button opens a chat to your number with a message already started. Customers attach the drawing or a photo of the part, and you quote from your phone.
I only have phone photos of my work. Is that enough?
Yes, to start with. Send us your best photos of finished jobs and we set them out on the Projects page. You can add more later.
I am a welder or electrician, not a big workshop. Is this for me?
Yes. The same layout works for any trade. We list the work you do, the areas you cover and how to reach you, and you pick 3 pages or 5.
Based in Bryanston, Johannesburg. We build websites for machine shops, welders, fabricators and other trades in Sandton, Fourways, Randburg, Midrand and across Gauteng, and anywhere in South Africa over WhatsApp.
Ready to get your business online?
Tell us what your workshop makes and where you are. We will reply on WhatsApp with next steps.
